Saturday nights, done properly
Every Saturday evening from 6 to 9pm, we serve a tasting menu that takes you on a journey from the first canapé through to the final petit fours. Each course is carefully crafted and every pairing is considered. It’s the kind of dinner that unfolds at its own pace and that’s very much the point.
Optional select or signature wine flights are available to complement each course and if you’re gifting the full experience, you can include one in the gift card so the recipient arrives with everything already taken care of.
All dishes are gluten free or have gluten free options available, and a dedicated plant-based menu is offered for vegetarian and vegan guests.

“I’m absolutely delighted with this tasting menu and updated wine pairing, it’s truly my favourite we’ve offered so far at The Peacock, Rowsley. The experience begins beautifully with Franciacorta from Ferghettina, setting the tone with elegance and freshness.
My favourites are, the starter of 63-degree egg yolk, asparagus and ham hock is perfectly complemented by either the vibrant Heaphy Sauvignon Blanc or the refined Domaine Michel Girard Sancerre. For the main, the depth and character of the Primitivo or Valpolicella Ripasso elevate the duck dish wonderfully.
At this time of year, our gardens are looking especially beautiful, making the perfect setting to enjoy the snacks and a glass of Ferghettina in the sunshine a simple pleasure that really captures the spirit of the experience.

Afternoons worth savouring
Our Afternoon Tea has recently been refreshed and it’s a lovely way to spend a few unhurried hours. Everything is made in house using carefully chosen seasonal ingredients: finger sandwiches balancing richer savoury notes with lighter fresher flavours, the chef’s seasonal savoury dishes, warm scones with cream and jam and a selection of seasonal pastries and desserts with a gentle mix of fruit, citrus and chocolate.
