Welcome to one of the best restaurants in the region

Gastronomy sits at the core of our hotel. Our restaurant team are the proud bearers of three AA rosettes – one of only three in Derbyshire with this accolade.

We offer both an indulgent, fine dining menu and a more relaxed bar menu to suit most tastes or moods. The key behind each dish is seasonal quality ingredients, some from pop the estate, which Head Chef Dan Smith is passionate about. Michelin trained by Tom Aiken, Dan combines skill and creativity to merit the awards we have achieved.

Our relaxed lunch menu includes regular beautifully cooked favourites such as fabulous fish and chips and sumptuous sirloin steak and chips; as well as ever changing “specials” which Dan and his team in the kitchen create from special ingredients they find as the seasons change.

Lunch is served in our bar or restaurant Tuesday to Saturday from 12pm to 2 pm.

Our bar menu is also available in the bar for dinner Tuesday to Friday from 6.30pm to 9pm. Booking is essential for dinner in the bar as we only have six tables!

Dinner is a culinary delight

Dinner is a luxurious and indulgent fine dining experience and is when our chefs love to excel. We use the finest ingredients and craft them into the most delicious dishes to delight every taste. For the full experience why not treat yourself to our wine paired tasting menu?

Our fine dining dinner menu is served in our restaurant Tuesday to Saturday from 7pm to 9pm.

Our tasting menu is offered on Friday and Saturday evenings. If you have any dietary requirements please let us know in advance.

Consider our dinner bed and breakfast rates which offer exceptional value.

These rates include a room for two people sharing plus a three course fine dine menu and our famous Peacock cooked breakfast.
