Our refreshed Lunch and Dinner menus arrive from Thursday 27th November and every dish showcases honest winter produce with thoughtful flair. These menus bring warmth, comfort and a touch of indulgence to the table, offering memorable winter dining in the heart of the Peak District.
Lunchtime dining
Lunch at The Peacock at Rowsley is served Monday to Saturday from 12pm to 3pm. The menu gives you freedom to graze, linger or settle in for something more substantial.
Small plates such as smoked salmon with roasted fennel scotch egg or pheasant and blue cheese ballotine offer flavour-packed bites.
Larger dishes range from traditional fish and chips to The Peacock burger, pan seared sea bass or a vibrant superfood salad with optional toppings of sea bass, smoked duck or maple-glazed tofu.
Whatever your appetite, there is something that fits the moment.
Evenings made special
Our Dinner menu, served Monday to Saturday from 6pm to 9pm, is where the season truly shines.
Begin your meal with snacks, ranging from duck pastrami tartare to roasted cauliflower steak.
Starters include wild mushroom and truffle pâté, Jerusalem artichoke and sea trout gravlax.
Mains feature stuffed turkey ballotine, beef wellington, spiced quinoa stuffed braised onion and a rich duck and pineapple.
To finish, desserts include dark chocolate mousse, spiced poached pear and an artisan cheese board.
Festive dining begins
As well as our new menus releasing on Thursday, Friday 28th November marks the start of Christmas at The Peacock. The restaurant is dressed for the season with wreaths, warm lighting and festive touches that make winter dining feel luxurious.
Throughout December we are offering a two or three course festive menu for £45 or £55 per person, with selected favourites from our new seasonal dishes.
Those in pursuit of a relaxed treat can settle in for our festive Afternoon Tea, complete with seasonal sweets and savouries that bring a little sparkle to the afternoon.
Our Saturday evening tasting menu also continue through December, with our Taste Of Christmas menu featuring eight courses of festive inspired cooking that celebrate the creativity of our chefs.
A New Year’s Eve to remember
To round off the year in style, our New Year’s Eve celebration brings a bespoke eight course tasting menu that showcases the talent and imagination of our kitchen team. A plant-based version is available so everyone can enjoy this special evening.
Book before the 1st of December to secure the advance price of £135 per person (£150 after this date). An optional wine flight is available for £75 per person.
