Sunday afternoons at The Peacock at Rowsley are about to get a little more special. From 21st June through to 30th August, we’re bringing live music back to our river-fronted gardens every Sunday between 2 and 4pm.
Whether you’re planning a long lazy lunch, a sunny drink by the river or a relaxed afternoon out in the Peak District, our Live Music Sundays are the perfect way to spend a summer Sunday.
Live music in the Peak District this summer
Set within the beautiful Derbyshire village of Rowsley, The Peacock sits at the gateway to the Peak District with gardens that run alongside the River Wye. It’s a setting that was made for summer afternoons, and this year we’re soundtracking them properly.
Each week, a talented local artist will perform live in the gardens, playing a blend of jazz, timeless classics and contemporary tunes with an upbeat twist.
Entry is free, walk-ins are always welcome and there’s no need to book just to enjoy the music, although we do recommend reserving a table if you’d like to guarantee your spot.

Eat, drink and unwind
Live music sounds even better with good food and drink. While the music plays, you’re welcome to dine from our Sunday menu, featuring nibbles, small plates, hearty mains, our much-loved roasts and indulgent desserts to finish.
Prefer to keep it simple? Settle in with a glass from our handpicked wine list or a classic cocktail from the bar and let the afternoon take care of itself.
How to book
Walk-ins are welcome every Sunday and no booking is required to enjoy the music. If you’d like to guarantee a table or reserve a particular time, we recommend booking ahead.
