Well dressings are an ancient custom unique to The Peak District and Derbyshire and can be seen between May and September.
Well dressing involves town and village communities coming together to create living art installations from natural materials, and they can celebrate anything from biblical scenes to literature or local anniversaries.
The well dressing in the village of Rowsley can be found opposite the The Peacock until 2nd July. It was created by the residents of Rowsley and the children of Rowsley Primary School and depicts a scene from Alice in Wonderland.
Drop by for a drink or lunch at The Peacock after viewing their hard work.
