The walk explores the contrasting landscapes of the White Peak and Dark Peak areas of the Derbyshire Dales. Cath has joined us previously and it was a very enjoyable experience. This special break is £360 for 2 people including the day-long walk, lunch, 3 course dinner, accommodation and breakfast. Call 01629 733 518 for more information or to make a booking.

Haddon Hall

Haddon Hall will reopen for the Easter season from the 25th of March – 4th of April. Bring your Easter bonnet and be ready to race with an egg and a spoon! The Hall will also be celebrating May Day on 2nd May with  flowers and Garland Dancers, and there is a countryside walk on 11th May to explore parts of the Haddon Estate not normally open to the public. The walks last for about 2 hours and cover a distance of 2 miles. You could then join us for lunch or dinner at The Peacock. For information on all Haddon Hall events click here.

Chatsworth House

Chatsworth reopens for the 2016 season on 19th March. If you are staying at The Peacock during February half term, the farmyard and adventure playground is open from 6th-21st February, and well worth a visit. Easter at Chatsworth will see the Easter Bunny hopping around the farmyard and the house beautifully decorated, plus the Chatsworth textile department will be running a series of events, Behind the seams, giving a fascinating insight into textiles at Chatsworth today.
