Wednesday 5th August sees the start of the annual Bakewell Show. Established in 1819, the show is even older than The Peacock at Rowsley. The Bakewell Show is a diverse event, with a varied mix of exhibitors displaying a host of animals (including horses, rabbits, dogs and livestock), artisan food and craft stalls, plus horticulture displays and live jousting. Running over two days from 5th – 6th August, tickets are available from The Bakewell Show website and cost £16.50 per adult.
