Our covetable armchairs will be waiting for you upon your return, unless you choose to stay and relax with a book and a drink, of course. 
“We’d have been satisfied with superior gastropub-type fare, but this is accomplished cooking … if the Derbyshire demographic includes a sub-genre of foodie fly-fishermen, this place must make them very, very happy.” At The Peacock you can enjoy a fine dining menu in our restaurant or opt for our bar menu in more relaxed surroundings. We also offer a well-stocked bar and use local, seasonal produce from the Peak District whenever possible. 
“It is, ahem, raining a bit, but we Britishly chat amongst ourselves as we struggle up a very steep slope into the wind, along the gritstone cliff … the rest of the walk is a little kinder, giving us a bit more of a chance to hold hands…” The Peak District offers a variety of activities, including multiple hiking trips waiting to be tackled.
