Hiking

Swimming
As well as the usual leisure centres and indoor pools, the Peak District has an intriguing selection of wild rivers, pools and lakes for those looking for adventure, some of which are outlined by this article from Red Bull.
Invest in a wetsuit, wait for the warmer summer months, or ease yourself in with lane / leisure swimming or special events at the Hathersage heated outdoor pool, located five minutes from Hathersage train station.
Cycling
Many of the Peak District’s favourite routes for walking double as wonderful cycling trails, with some designed for the purpose and some off-road.
