As the seasons change so do the menus at The Peacock. New a la carte dishes include duck, vegetarian ravioli and a delicious apple dessert. While in the bar this week, guests can enjoy the following specials:
Beef croquette, horseradish crème freche, beetroot, rocket and watercress.
Poached and roasted Derbyshire partridge , salsify, kale, potato gnocchi and chestnuts.
Tarte Tatin with vanilla ice cream (for 2 people).
We are fortunate to receive many wonderful reviews from guests who have dined in our restaurant and have several gastronomic events in the Autumn calendar. The first is a wine dinner on 23 October featuring a game tasting menu with wines from John Hattersley to accompany. The second is a whisky and dinner evening on 10 December featuring a fine mix of whisky tasting with The Wee Dram in Bakewell, plus a delicious Peacock tasting menu.
