It is not every day we get excited about new knives and forks, but our new David Mellor Cutlery is a little special.
David Mellor Design
Born in Sheffield, David Mellor was a key figure in British design, combining hands-on craftsmanship and with design entrepreneurialism. David Mellor Design, now run by his son Corin Mellor, operates on the simple principle that good design can improve your life. Their cutlery is manufactured in a purpose-designed factory in the Peak District National Park. We have chosen the elegant Paris line of stainless steel cutlery and are delighted to have the work of yet another local craft business in our restaurant.

We are also pleased to announced that we have retained our three star AA rating. The Peacock at Rowsley is described in the AA Hotel Guide as “a hotel that combines stylish contemporary design with original period and antique features.
