This river is available for members and now day tickets from 1st April 2019 to fish on 3 ½ miles of the river Derwent. Unlike the Wye, wet flies and nymphs can be used as well as dry flies, and wading is permitted with caution!
Available to day ticket holders and members of the Peacock Fly Fishing Club.
The only river in the country with wild rainbow trout; with over seven miles of some of the best dry fly fishing in the UK. The river is not stocked at all, providing challenging fishing for wild brown and rainbow trout as well as for grayling. We operate a strict “catch and release” policy, with fish being released unharmed.
Members of The Peacock Fly Fishing Club have access to two beats of the river Lathkill and the river Bradford.
They are both beautiful small and delicate limestone spring fed rivers. Anglers have the opportunity to sight fish and stalk the fish amongst the crystal clear waters.
For anglers wishing to fish somewhere exclusive and special, The Peacock at Rowsley now offers access to Haddon Estate two private beats.
These beats are very lightly fished by the Estate’s owners and are set in private grounds.
