Chatsworth House is one of the Peak District’s most
renowned attractions. The house was bought by Bess of Hardwick and William Cavendish in 1549, and has
remained in the Cavendish family for 16 generations. Not only is Chatsworth famous for its beautiful
architecture, charming landscapes and fascinating art collection, but the Estate also hosts some of the
most exciting events that the area has to offer. Here are few of our favourite occasions coming up on

Chatsworth Country Fair

House The Chatsworth Country Fair attracts thousands of people every year. The
fantastically memorable event includes a bustling fairground, live entertainment, shopping and a fine
food village, which this year will feature demonstrations from Nadiya Hussain, Mary Berry and Paul
Hollywood. Visitors of all ages will have the chance to try their hand at a vast range of activities,
including shooting, fishing and rural crafts – truly something for all the family. Book your tickets online

Art Out Loud

is a festival of art, launched as a celebration of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire’s love of art.
The festival consists of a series of talks, inspired by everything from architecture to painting,
horticulture to ceramics. Speakers include:

- Alex de Rijke, RIBA Stirling Prize winner
- Dan Cruickshank, BBC TV broadcaster, author and historian

Pride & Prejudice Regency Ball
