Chatsworth House is one of the Peak District’s most renowned attractions. The house was bought by Bess of Hardwick and William Cavendish in 1549, and has remained in the Cavendish family for 16 generations.
Not only is Chatsworth famous for its beautiful architecture, charming landscapes and fascinating art collection, but the Estate also hosts some of the most exciting events that the area has to offer. Here are few of our favourite occasions coming up on the grounds of the Estate, just ten minutes down the road from The Peacock:
31 August 2018–2 September 2018
The Chatsworth Country Fair attracts thousands of people every year.
The fantastically memorable event includes a bustling fairground, live entertainment, shopping and a fine food village, which this year will feature demonstrations from Nadiya Hussain, Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood. Visitors of all ages will have the chance to try their hand at a vast range of activities, including shooting, fishing and rural crafts – truly something for all the family.
